Gardenista

Winner of the 2011 Nokia Urban App Incubator in New York, New York 2011.

Gardenista is the REAL Farmville. It is a web app that merges urban gardening with social networking to promote a holistically greener lifestyle.

FIND: Users are able to either find existing urban/community gardens, or create their own.

GROW: The platform allows users from all gardens to post updates about their crops or share tips with fellow gardeners

SHARE: The marketplace is available to buy/trade/sell what crops with others

Its web app version is submitted to NYC’s BigApps competition.

Gardeneers

Gardeneers, previously Gardenista, is a web platform and a mobile app that activates women to grow their own food with their friends in their backyards, rooftops etc. It creates a social networking platform for the members of the same garden, to help them organize and share their activities within the garden. It also has a Facebook connection, which let them announce their public events and share offers to all their friends.Mobile app is in the process of development.
